STUDENT WRITING CONTEST CONNECTED TO MONTREAL SYMPOSIUM
INVITATION TO BSW AND MSW STUDENTS TO ENTER THE SOCIAL GROUP WORK WRITING CONTEST
Sponsored by the Association for the Advancement of Social Work with Groups Inc. for submissions to the 32nd Annual International Symposium, Strengthening
Social Solidarity through Group Work: Research and Creative Practices, in Montreal, Québec, Canada. This contest is open to all current students in accredited social work BSW or MSW programs. Students may participate individually or cooperatively with a faculty member, field instructor or social work practitioner. Only students are eligible for awards. REQUIREMENTS:
- Participants must submit an abstract to the Montreal Symposium planning group according to the accompanying Call for Proposals.
- The abstract must be accepted.
- A final paper must be submitted by April 15, 2010 to:

New York, NY 10075.
- Submissions will be reviewed and judged by a committee of the AASWG Board of Directors.
- First prize will consist of a $150 cash award and a scholarship to attend the symposium in Montreal.
- Second prize will consist of a $100 cash award and a scholarship to attend the symposium in Montreal.
- Winners are not required to attend or present in Montreal.
- Papers presented in Montreal will be eligible to be considered for inclusion in a juried publication of the proceedings.
