Beverly Feigelman

A licensed clinical social worker and a credentialed alcoholism and substance abuse counselor, Beverly Feigelman is a private practitioner in New York City and adjunct instructor at Adelphi University SSW, where she also served as Assistant Director for Field Education. Former Director of the Manhasset Community Adolescent Day Treatment Program of North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health Services, Feigelman currently volunteers with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, facilitating a support group for bereaved survivors of suicide and providing community education and consultation. Feigelman’s special interests are group work education, training new social work field instructors, suicide prevention, and support for bereaved survivors of suicide; she has been a member of AASWG since 1998 and is Chair of the AASWG NY-Long Island Chapter.
